I came out to support Mare and Jason so I liked getting to see them in the first segment. The second segment had powerful one-on-one moments between multiple pairs of characters and definitely moved me by the end.
What I didn't like
The first segment didn’t have the most original premise – greedy heirs want the estate and realize the old person isn’t dead after all.
The second segment left me trying to figure out most of the time what the through line story was supposed to be. Then again, my narrative improv teacher always says to forget about plot – the character relationships drive the show – and I think that often applies to scripted plays also.
