The Pearl and The Trick are incredibly impactfull plays that most importantly make you think and reflect on yourself. Especially The Trick talks about bystander effect and is reflection of our society today. The Pearl is hilarious and I would recommend watching it for a good laugh and a great time, and yes besides the fact that it is a comedy it is deeply human and makes you think of family truma from a comedic lans. One of my favorite shows this Fringe 2026....

Joe Praml’s The Trick and the Pearl was a very enjoyable watch from start to finish. I believe that everyone involved showcased their great talent and love for theatre, which made the viewing experience all the more enjoyable. Both plays have strong ideas and memorable moments, but would benefit from more patient pacing and deeper emotional grounding from the actors. “The Pearl” feels more cohesive, while “The Trick” has potential but needs more time for the relationships and stakes to fully develop. Still, the direction, design choices, and select performances give the production as a whole enough substance to engage with during the Fringe Festival....

This was a fulfilling theatre night out. THE TRICK AND THE PERAL were done very well. I particularly enjoyed the staging by Hasmik Sargsyan for The Pearl; The Pearl is one solid Aristotle approved play and Sargsyan does real justice to it....

This was such a treat to get to watch two plays for the price of one! They were both very different but equally enjoyable. The acting and directing for both pieces were wonderful and entertaining. Bravo!...
