The strongest piece in the story is the scene with the family. Very compelling characters and writing. It was my favorite in the show and the actors all did a fantastic job with the material. Very strong writing in this vignette. Really loved the characterizations Dom Johnson and Kara O’Connor brought to their characters throughout.
What I didn't like
Would love to see the direction of the play really lean into the drama, surrealism, and/or reality of the scenes to raise up every vignette to the polish of the piece with the grieving kids. Perhaps a re-ordering of the scenes could be considered.
My overall impression
A “Four Rooms” character driven narrative that connects through a similar event and shown through different storytelling aspects and POV.
