Even though the plays were written by different writers, the dialogue was snappy throughout. It was funny, edgy, dark, sad and infuriating, depending on the vignette. The final vignette – “Leverage” – is a very current take on misogyny and greed that gave me the creeps (in its intended way).
What I didn't like
I thought it was an overall great show.
My overall impression
This is a thoroughly entertaining show that flies by, thanks to the four vignettes structure – and the great chemistry between the actors. The narrative device is simple but the stories and characters surrounding it are complex and compelling. And the unique takes on four different genres is an added bonus that keeps the whole play fresh.
