What I liked
Thoughtful, award-winning dialogue. Historical, Boomer nostalgia of 1980s NYC. Truly grounded and incredible performances from the two leads. A juicy 2-hander that immerses you in the world perfectly.
What I didn't like
Any bumps I felt dealt with the challenges of the script, which was a product of the time and style. The day-dreamy monologues can meander, but the artists stay in it fully.
My overall impression
It was immediately clear that this show was put up with a lot of attention, love and care. It hearkened back to playwriting of a different era, which can be tricky in the wrong hands, but this team executed it beautifully.
