What I liked
The complexity of the characters, the perfectly orchestrated back and forth dialogue between the actors, how skillfully they led you to imagine a whole world with just a couple chairs and a mattress.
What I didn't like
Every ticket purchase should come with a martini and an appointment with your therapist.
My overall impression
Emotionally enthralling & effectively immersive. Carter & Jo Beth’s evocative performance was so captivating, you could hear a pin drop, save for the occasional collective gasp from the audience. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. I was somehow both sitting on the edge of my seat, white-knuckling the arm rest, while simultaneously sinking back into it, with a blanket & a pint of ice cream, contemplating my own life experiences. The best part is, even after all of that, you’re still left with a sense of relief. I’m absolutely coming back to watch it again.
