Albie is such a funny and charismatic guy and I loved the story. While being that fixated on a specific celebrity can sound stalker-ish, it didn’t seem creepy coming from him. Not when he had actual talent which could complement Bowie’s.
Plus I also loved the ultimate message about celebrating whatever victories you do get, even if they’re not your ideal outcome. My cousin a few years ago opened my eyes when I was feeling frustrated with my life. He asked, “Does anyone get their ideal outcome, ever?”
Heck we have no way of knowing if David Bowie even got his ideal outcome, but he unquestionably had a nice life.
And so has Albie Selznick, highlighted by this amazing Fringe show.
Okay, maybe I’m SLIGHTLY biased because in the middle of the show he recognized me and yelled, “We [he and Laura] saw your show last night. Good job!”
What I didn't like
His enthusiasm is nice, but at the beginning he was talking so fast I couldn’t fully keep up. I wanted to yell, “Chill!”
My overall impression
I really enjoyed this show. I made sure to immediately promise Albie and the producer Laura the nice review they deserve – here it is!
