I found the story quite interesting! Albie has a ton of energy and excitement as he tells his story.
What I didn't like
As a 27-year-old who isn’t obsessed with Bowie, I think the core appeal of the show was lost on me.
My overall impression
Definitely a great time for fans of Bowie and those who followed him in the 70s and 80s. This show is a personal narrative- Albie essentially tells his life story through the lens of following David Bowie, and it’s a fun ride through the glam rock era.
My mom would have loved every minute! Albie speaks a lot about how his troupe, the Mums, performed juggling, tightrope walking, and magic- the show contains a few moments of this but is 95% Albie telling his story. I would’ve loved to see more of those special skills, to transport us to his world, and also dazzle the audience.
