“Hutcheson’s delightfully original story and solid performance stand as one of the best solo pieces of the year.” – Los Angeles Hidden Gems

After choking to death on a pork rib just before the Civil War, Miss Magnolia Beaumont, debutante, finds herself in New York City, inhabiting the body of a “forty-something” year-old gay man. Master Joseph (as she refers to him, for he is not a married gentleman) takes himself to Provincetown, MA for a birthday vacation, unknowingly bringing her along for the ride. Upon checking into his hotel, Joe encounters a painting of the Civil War, which offends Magnolia deeply and jolts her into his awareness. The two spend the next few days absorbing the beauty of Provincetown, discussing the deeper meanings of life, and facing some of Joe’s other darker inner voices.
