What I liked
The mentalism was INSANE, made me question if this man genuinely has super psychic abilities. Some of the illusions just did not seem like there was any way he could do that, going so far beyond the traditional sleight of hand it bent reality for me. The show also had such a lovely personal and comedic element, Max really is the full package entertainer/magician/mentalist.
What I didn't like
I was sad that he was in a small theatre (which he had to be because close up magic), because I really wish everyone who attends fringe could see this, it’s next level.
My overall impression
This man is not a magician, he is a WIZARD!!!! I am genuinely so freaked out by the insane magic I witnessed… it’s been a day and I’m still thinking about how crazy that show was. Unbelievable levels of memory work, mentalism and magic that surpass reality. I am a lifelong fan of magic and go to the Magic Castle often and when I tell you this is the coolest show I have seen. Even if the illusions didn’t blow my mind (which they did) his show was personable and charming, just an effortless entertainer. Do not miss your chance to experience Max Davidson!!!
