Ruby the writer and performer of the show is SO much fun to watch. Easily likable, sympathetic, and hilarious. The twists and turns were unexpected but totally work. She had the audience in the palm of her hand. The crowd work, or whatever it might be called to have some audience members following a real yoga flow throughout the show and ending up being a part of the story, was genius.
Also loved the special effects! Those are hard to execute well at Fringe!! Well done!
What I didn't like
Look, they warned us when we arrived that the AC in the theater was broken. If they hadn’t told us, I would have assumed it was just a part of the immersion. 😂
My overall impression
A WILDRIDE. Totally genre-defying. Inventive use of the audience. A solo show (???) but so much more than that? I’ve never seen a “partially immersive” show be so effective. It’s not what you think, and not what you’re expecting. I’m so glad I went because it really opened my mind to what GOOD, expressive, expansive, entertaining theatre can be!
