What I liked
I was plucked from the audience for the fun job of Gherkin’s assistant for the first part of this two-in-one show. I even got a tasty slice of cheesecake as a reward for my effort!
Only one person can be the assistant though, and it’s up to Gherkin. As far as how people in general would enjoy this, he was very entertaining with his different vaudeville-style tricks in the first half, and so were he and his collaborator Nick in the second half.
What I didn't like
I did not need to see Gherkin in his birthday suit. I get the joke is that he doesn’t look like the female exotic dancer he was filling in for in the story, but flesh-colored underwear could have done the job fine.
My overall impression
A lot of fun – even if you’re not the one audience member who gets a slice of cheesecake LOL.
