I am literally behind on my fringe reviews but am pausing on eating dinner because I want to make sure I get this down somewhere. I loved the pace of the dialogue but I think what that means is that I really felt seen in how the actors listened to each other. Every reply felt earned and the energy was held. Sometimes you see a show and it feels like people are talking across each other rather than to, and I didn’t get that at all here.
I also like seeing trans people be people. To get things like being loved. To have friends who do and don’t show up. To be immature and to try to be better.
Separately… as a transmasc person who never started T and has had 8-10 day periods. God. I get it.
Also I loved the use of the space!
I loved how it made me feel.
What I didn't like
I’d like to see it done more bigger and again!
Personally I could improve the fact that I have a crisis every time I see someone get gender affirming medical care. God it makes me want a hysterectomy and top surgery and to start testosterone. It’s not a good idea for me for a number of health reasons but ooooooooOoOooOo
God this review is the overshare of the century but I’m just so queer
My overall impression
God I loved it. My favorite of the shows I’ve seen so far.
