I wish there were more sci-fi plays around like this. The actors were terrific, the set was really cool, and the costumes were amazing. It was a perfect setting for the story. The concept of a digital performer you can only see as AR was a perfect was to integrate the off-putting qualities of the concept in general. (Do we watch the play we’re at or look at our phones?) A thought-provoking take on technology, celebrity, wealth inequality, climate change, and much more, all in one hour!
What I didn't like
Not the show’s fault, but my phone may not have been perfect at placing the digital actor, so there was some glitching. (I saw it working fine on others’ phones.) But honestly, it fit the theme and I was still able to enjoy watching the live performances and hearing the AR actress. The tech is a great bonus but the show functions perfectly without it.
My overall impression
One of the most ambitious, innovative, and high-tech live theater shows I’ve ever seen.
