Very interesting! I liked the minimalist aesthetic and how broad/vague the macro elements were. Everything was very immediate and decidedly lacked an onslaught of exposition/contextual handholding. Very decisive and choicey, which I prefer to the more tired and commoditized theater trends I feel like you usually get with this sort of fare. It was challenging at times but never grueling, unpleasant or gratuitous. Like I said, pretty interesting.... full review

This was an interesting dystopian take on the future that definitely made me think. It has shades of Hunger Gameswhile also asking big questions about resources, war, politics, and what happens when we start running out of what we need. The concept was thought-provoking, and even though the show takes place in 1 location, it keeps building and evolving as the characters come in. Kaitlyn gave a really strong performance and brought a lot of emotion and depth to the world. If you like dystopian stories that leave you thinking about where we’re headed, this is ur next show! ... full review

I'm such a fan of Sarah's writing! I love how its not packed with exposition and gives you just enough information to let the imagination fill in the rest. A lot of the moments really live in the subtext or what's not being said. Overall I think this is a very sharp, clever, and well crafted story that feels incredibly relevant and slightly uncomfortable at times. One of my favorite scenes is with the mother and May- so good! ... full review

Wow. This show makes such a deep and lasting impact. The writing is phenomenal and the premise so eerily relevant. I had to sit for a while before I could process all my feelings after seeing the show. I wish everybody at Fringe could see this show because it is as critically important as it is beautiful to watch.... full review

Sarah Grochala’s writing is a force to be reckoned with— raw, stripped naked, and caustic. I think I only breathed three times total. ... full review

S-27 is an intriguing, not-so-distant political look on totalitarianism and how it seeps into the behavior and desires of us all. Standouts were Jennifer Lax as the desperate mother and Anne Peyton Brothers as twisted survivor of both duplicity and honesty.... full review
