Most of the acting and the pacing!! The story was also p thought provoking
What I didn't like
I think the world could have been explained a tad bit more in the beginning unless the vagueness was the point? I also think some of the vulgar moments like the r monologue/scene only work if they are questioned and challenged a bit more from the lead…? When the main character ran off with the love interest, I was a little confused as to why – was it just history? I think there could’ve been more pushback. OR if the main character is supposed to have bad judgment and is desperate for that kind of validation/love maybe that could be explored at the end as well a little more?
My overall impression
This was an interesting dystopian take on the future that definitely made me think. It has shades of Hunger Gameswhile also asking big questions about resources, war, politics, and what happens when we start running out of what we need.
The concept was thought-provoking, and even though the show takes place in 1 location, it keeps building and evolving as the characters come in.
Kaitlyn gave a really strong performance and brought a lot of emotion and depth to the world. If you like dystopian stories that leave you thinking about where we’re headed, this is ur next show!
