Welcome to the Cirque Lunaire. A storied and magical circus, a gaggle of world class performers and creatures, and a kindly, old ringmaster who holds the nostalgic big top together-making sure the vision of the old circus persists to bring joy to the children of the world.
Could you ask for more?
The performers certainly can. Tired of doing the same old routine over and over again for years and being taken advantage of by the Ringmaster, the performers and animals are fed up. Fed up with the Ringmaster and his rules about what a circus has to be, fed up with the parents who hollowly clap seeing exactly what they expected to see while their snotty kids pull on tails and poke at faces, fed up with themselves for having been complacent in this state for so long. In a last ditch effort to perform a show that captures everything they are, the performers seize control of the big top for themselves and take the audience on a Bacchic adventure as they tell their stories and perform their truth before a grand finale no one will expect.
