What I liked

Riley and Cole really became their folk singer characters. Great musical talent and comic timing. The xylophone was a nice touch.

What I didn't like

I watched an earlier version of Husky Whispers at last year’s Fringe and love that they keep writing new songs. I hope they keep going because I am looking forward to a new batch of songs every year.

My overall impression

From songs about sickly dogs to all-you-can-eat buffets to stomach distress, this comedy folk duo had me laughing. At the end of the show, they broke from the humor, but not their onstage personas, to sing a heartfelt cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “The Streets of Minneapolis.”
