It was hilarious RIGHT off the bat, and the way they commanded the room so easily and with so much joy was so fun! Clowns of Color are incredible at reading the audience and seeing who is willing to participate, and immediately moving on if you’re not. If you’re scared to go to a clown show, do NOT worry about going to this one: every part of the show that they include the audience in is joyful, silly, and brief. And that is only after you consent to participate!
What I didn't like
I thought the music was a tiny bit loud during the monologues. I would have loved to hear more of the actual voices blending in or over the music.
My overall impression
Superb clowning + storytelling: first a wildly engaging clown performance, and then two very different personal stories about how they each went from the military to a clown duo. Plus truly impressive physical feats and stamina for what they’re doing and for how long (no spoilers!).
