This play MOVES with excellent pacing and an energetic “never let thew know your next move” style, ala Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Sadie Kennedy has impeccable comedic timing and quirky charisma. We root for Sadie’s character to escape the trance over her crush and through her growth comes stillness and emotional authenticity. The ensemble is committed and sharp, befitting the whacky antics of the world Sadie has manifested.
What I didn't like
I love the idea behind the cast’s invite to dance at the end, but the celebration left a few wondering if the play ended and/or if they could depart the theatre.
My overall impression
A pandemonious smörgåsbord that explores the stages of a one-sided infatuation toward a boy crush.
