An incredibly personal story that is simultaneously very specific, and yet feels oddly universal. There are many different levels to this show. On the surface it’s a story about being a child of an immigrant, about being queer, about mourning your parent before they’re gone. But those are just the starting points that allow for a deeper examination of the relationship at the core of this story. It takes the audience on a journey that looks at how our parent’s lives shape them, and how that in turn shapes their expectations of us. Incredible show. Raw and groundbreaking. One that you'll think about days after seeing it. The performances were stellar, the writing is phenomenal, and overall grasp it has on your psyche is incomparable. It made me think of my own relationship with my parents and how I want to nurture the remaining time I have left with them. It made me think of the relationship I wanted to have with the children I don't have yet. It's powerful. GO SEE THIS SHOW.... full review

This piece really spoke to me as a child of immigrants, dealing with the pressures of achieving the elusive American dream. The actors worked well together, and their performances and the writing make you feel great empathy for both of them despite their being at odds with one another. ... full review

A must see! This play offers such a unique perspective on the parent child relationship and really makes you both think and feel. Xander Priddie's acting is incredible, and writing is beautiful and poetic. The subject matter is something so many people can relate to, and it left many audience members in tears, including myself. I would absolutely see it again and recommend it to everyone.... full review
