What I liked
The performances were spot on.
What I didn't like
I sat on the side and the actors were often in front of the projection, so there were lots of things I missed that I hear the audience reacting to.
I also had to keep my head turned pretty drastically to the side to read them when they weren’t blocked. Which was a bummer and it started to hurt.
Eventually I mostly stopped reading them.
This was clearly staged for audience in front, so why not take the seats on the sides out altogether, or move them to the center.
My overall impression
Powerful piece and incredibly acted. A deep dive into love and how it lasts or doesn’t. Nuanced performances, with real listening, focus, and intension (which I’m sorry to say seems rarer and rare these days)
