What I liked
I was so proud and I felt so seen when Nilsa had her scripts onstage for this performance, because that is something I have had to do for my own performances. The line about flossing teeth and having her gums bleed and being told to be thankful that the blood thinner is working really made me smile because my doctors have said that to me too. The play was so charming and I was smiling the whole time because I just really saw myself onstage!
What I didn't like
N/A. I can’t wait to see the full version of it.
My overall impression
As a stroke survivor myself, Moyamoya Baby hit close to home in every scene. I really enjoyed how Nilsa brought her experiences to light in an unapologetic way.
