Moyamoya Baby: A Trilogy of Strokes, Blood Flow, and F*ckboys, is the culminating solo show inspired by personal experience managing moyamoya disease, a rare cerebrovascular disorder.
Part medical miracle, part dating disaster, and 100% reclamation, Moyamoya Baby is the “re-debut” of multi-hyphenate artist Nilsa Reyna. From the sudden silence of a stroke (Stroke Vagina, a Moyamoya Story), to a life-altering brain bypass at Stanford (The Bride of Moyamoya), Nilsa navigates the plasticity of a brain and the only way forward (Moyamoyapause and Me, or How Collecting F*ckboys Made it All Okay?).
