What I liked

The pacing and direction were fantastic. The use of historical documents was powerful. Vivi’s performance was so lovely.

What I didn't like

I know this will be turned into a longer production. The only thing I’d like to see is how these stories meet and impact Vivi now in this moment. What does learning about her family reveal about Vivi and what she’s going through now?

My overall impression

Vivi is a beautiful storyteller. Her writing and honest delivery in retelling the tragic events her family had to go through were powerful. She is so detailed and vivid in her imagery as she describes the events, it feels like you are there with her family. And her message that kindness is a means of survival is more important than ever.
