What I liked

Vivi is such a wonderful storyteller. She told this chapter of her family’s story in a very dynamic, engaging, and emotional way. I loved seeing photos of her family members and the photographs and video of Saigon were very powerful.

What I didn't like

Any small hiccups can definitely be chalked up to the quick process of producing something for fringe and knowing that this is a piece that is still in development.

My overall impression

Wow, what a big impact for such a short piece! Vivi Thai invites the audience into a vivid and moving story so quickly. She moves effortlessly between sharing historical events and playing members of her family of all ages while sharing the moving story of her family on April 30th 1975. I cannot wait to see more of this story!
