This show had so many amazing elements. Every single performer hit their mark and made me feel like I was living in this insane world with them! I also loved the puppetry elements, honestly so cool.
I was I complete awe of Sophia Rizzo, I had to run to another show, but I was like I need to find this girl and tell her that her voice, acting, and stamina were insane! Another stand out was Claire Jansen, I’ve never heard a mix so clear! Also her raw emotion and clear battle with herself within the show was really moving. Truly there were no weak actors in this show, what they’ve accomplished is amazing. Singing for 90 minutes at this kind of level is an incredible feat and everyone should be proud of themselves. I was like what are these girls doing in LA, get them all to Broadway!
I loved that it was an all woman cast and I loved the devil. Renee had such a cool vibe and was again amazing at singing and playing the character.
I laughed, I teared up, I saw the bigger picture of the show and I pictured it straight up at the Gershwin. (I know wicked is still there, but like, after that!)
What I didn't like
Would love to see on a bigger stage, I could picture the set changes and giant production value. I’m so excited to see where it heads next.
My overall impression
Some of the most fun I’ve had at a musical in a long time! It’s giving Six meets RENT and I can’t wait to sing along to the soundtrack in my car one day! Amazing beltresses, sick score, and tight book. If it wasn’t sold out I’d attend again!
