The cast was strong. The vocals and harmonies were great. The arrangements of the music were ear candy. Very catching tunes. Looking forward to the cast album.
What I didn't like
Some of the props need to be improved,but I understand as a Fringe show, resources were limited. Although I thought the large puppet at the end was impressive.
My overall impression
I was very impressed with Dead John. The music was fantastic and the book and lyrics complemented the score. It was a great idea to cast an all woman production, and the actors did a good job of bringing the story to life. I could definitely see Dead John going on to regional theatre and eventually Broadway. The only things I think were missing was a good sound system and more seating to accommodate a bigger audience for the sold-out show.
