What I liked
Most of the music is so much fun, and happy all of the characters get a chance to shine. The backdrops and props fit the atmosphere for such a small venue. All of the actors are excellent, especially playing their own instruments, but Kiera steals the show. The scene where the band mentions the cops being in the next room, Kiera is hidng all of the drugs she has. The audience was laughing while this happened; she stood out that much!
What I didn't like
Honestly, my biggest problem was the venue. The microphones had feedback throughout the experience, and at times, there were volume problems. I couldn’t hear the actors (not their fault). Mainly, in a bigger venue with better sound, this show would be even better.
My overall impression
Tenacious D Meets Jennifer’s Body. A fun and entertaining 80s rock opera with cool characters and an awesome story from beginning to end.
