My favorite part was how effortlessly the show balanced its humor and horror. The jokes landed, the innuendos never overstayed their welcome, and underneath all the chaos was a story I found myself genuinely invested in.

My overall impression
I had an absolute blast watching Dead John.
The premise hooked me immediately, but what surprised me most was how genuinely funny, clever, and well-crafted the entire show was. The comedic timing is excellent, the innuendos are constant (and perfectly placed), and the original music keeps the energy high from beginning to end.
Dead John somehow manages to be a horror-comedy, rock musical, backstage drama, and commentary on fame all at once without ever feeling messy. The result is a show that’s laugh-out-loud funny, surprisingly heartfelt, and incredibly entertaining.
The cast clearly gives it their all, the songs are memorable, and the story keeps throwing twists, chaos, and blood in all the best ways. I found myself laughing one minute and genuinely invested in the characters the next.
By the end, I was grinning from ear to ear. This is exactly the kind of original, ambitious production that makes Fringe so special.
Go see it. You’ll laugh, you’ll cringe, you’ll probably leave with a song stuck in your head, and you’ll have a great time doing it.
