What I liked
I love the speculative nature of the performance, set in an alternate timeline where present day Los Angeles is under siege and chaotic. However, the characters are relatable, overwhelmed by familiar life challenges of separation, self-sacrifice and self-doubt.
What I didn't like
A couple of the scenes could have been a bit shorter to make room for exploring more of the story given the time constraints.
My overall impression
Immersive and engaging right from the start. I left feeling I had just watched East L.A.’s legendary Asco art collective collaborate with David Lynch and Octavia Butler.
