What I liked
Dionysius Vlachos clearly knows the vertical drama landscape inside and out. You don’t get such biting commentary without intimate knowledge of the subject matter. The entire cast is a delight. The script is at its best when it hones in on the behind-the-scenes conversations between those who, for a variety of reasons, find themselves acting in the latest vertical production.
What I didn't like
The show ran a little long, but that feels mostly like an easily solved pacing issue.
My overall impression
The Vertical is a funny and heartfelt critique of the vertical drama craze that has arisen in the last few years.
