An examination of racism, sexism, and classism in vertical microdramas. When the sensibilities of a Chinese production crew clash with their American actors, a dayplayer’s innocent conversation about acting with the male lead threatens to derail the entire production.

Bios:
Dionysius Vlachos
Dee is a writer/actor from the Philadelphia suburbs. He received his undergraduate degree from Penn State and his masters from Savannah College of Art and Design. His first play “My Tiger” premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2025 where it was nominated for Best Dramatic Theatre. The play had an extended run with the Write Act Repretory at the Brickhouse Theatre. My Tiger explored his upbringing as a mixed race Asian American. He currently works as an audio engineer for Warner Bros Studios. You can also find him on his YouTube channel “Courageous Eater”, where he explores interesting restaurants around Los Angeles.
Nina Rancel
Nina Rancel is an award-winning film, TV and theater actress from Venezuela who loves being an actor with her whole heart.
Richmond Keeling
Richmond Keeling is an actor from Houston, Texas. He spends his time acting in small soap operas and performing as an extra in larger productions. Richmond is excited to be a part of all things creative and to help others bring their visions to life.
Alison Iles
Alison Iles is a Peruvian-American Actress and Singer based in Los Angeles. With years of experience at Speiser Sturges, Lesly Kahn, and Berg Studios, Alison has produced and acted in several short and feature films. You can see Alison in Glass Casa, on AppleTV and other streaming platforms.
Stan Zhu
Stan Zhu is an actor based in Los Angeles, originally from Chengdu, China. Stan has graduated from the Performing Arts Program at Savannah College of Art and Design. He has performed in over fifty films and several plays, including Moonlake, Kill the Roses, Cannibal: The Musical, and Marian: the True Tale of Robin Hood. Stan has won four acting awards and his work has gotten into multiple international film festivals, including China Golden Rooster Award, Lift-Off Tokyo, and Los Angeles Shorts.
Anoop Surya
Anoop Surya is an Indian actor based in the United States who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. His recent television credits include co-starring and guest starring roles on Atlanta, Cobra Kai, Snake Oil, The First Lady, and Class of ’09, as well as a series regular role on Operation Fernsby, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. His film credits include Mirror Mirror and GENESIS 1.0, for which he also received two Telly Awards.
Mara Weisband
Mara Weisband is an actor, writer, and comedian who has performed at The Comedy Store, The Comedy Cellar, Dangerfield’s, and other notable clubs across the country. Her one-woman show Poached debuted at the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival, earning an Adelaide Fringe Festival Exchange Award nomination, and will next be performed at The Blue Door for the Athena Festival (April 26, 2026). She appeared as Kristine Linde in A Doll’s House at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and has trained extensively in improv at UCB (NY/LA), Second City Hollywood, and musical improv at the Leela Theatre Company (SF). With a background in psychology, she loves to dissect life’s most serious and uncomfortable moments—and turn them into something we can all laugh at… while we process.
Lonnie Sugarman
Jove Wang is an actor born and raised in Colorado. He tossed himself into acting after being fed up with his stage fright and fell in love with it. Originally starting in theatre he continued on to do speech and debate prioritizing speech.
He would eventually go to the University of Miami where he began his film acting journey. It was there he was encouraged my friends and teachers to pursue acting, which resulted in him moving to Los Angeles where he has been partaking in short films and other projects ever since.
He has played 16 different sports and loves challenging himself with new things.
