I loved the combination of spoken word, poetry, and multimedia storytelling. The set, lighting, and projections created a visually compelling experience that perfectly complemented the show’s themes and emotional journey. The contemporary references and doomscrolling clips felt incredibly relatable, while the humor kept the show entertaining even as it tackled difficult subjects. Every design choice felt intentional and helped immerse the audience in the performer’s world. The performer was funny, vulnerable, and fully committed throughout.
What I didn't like
Nothing comes to mind. I found the production thoughtful, engaging, and well-executed from start to finish.
My overall impression
It was an uncomfortable yet deeply engaging ride that left me both reflective and entertained. The performer brilliantly balanced heavy themes of mental health and our modern digital overwhelm with sharp humor, heartfelt spoken word, and clever multimedia elements. She remained emotionally present throughout, making her story both relatable and riveting. The writing made you squirm and laugh at the same time. Highly recommended. Bravo!
