How this crumbling world from a black woman’s point of view can resonate with any human from any background. It’s a unique and darkly hilarious perspective that will make you rightfully angry (in a very good way) as much as it can also make you laugh. This show – and Destiny’s – is designed to be a well-needed outlet for anyone that sees this.
What I didn't like
One nit-pick is the cell-phone “ding” in the show is a tad bit loud, but doesn’t hamper anything really. Overall, everything else in the show is quite solid.
On the plus side, I must add that the edits of the video clips on the back screen are very well-paced – finding it’s own beat that works for the presentation. I also loved the opening of the news/media playing in the background as you walk in theater- it just settles you right in the environment of the story (before it even starts) quite nicely!
My overall impression
If you’re not happy with how everything in the human world is going right now (which may be just about everyone – including those who won’t admit it), this one woman show will/should make you feel less crazy, yet ultimately validated in your own way!
