I love the way Destiny woved her story: from the way the oppression of the external world effects our brittle internal world; how family shapes our strength and insecurity; the way we consume and produce social media; how we relate to our race, gender, social norms. All of it is so goddamn exhausting no wonder so many of us feel like we need to end it all! And the twist at the end provides a cathartic payoff. The best solo show I’ve seen at fringe so far. It was a personal story that is all of our stories.
What I didn't like
I loved all of it! For a future iteration, I could see a specific moment in the midsection that could be tightened a bit.
My overall impression
Exceptionally written!! I laughed. I cried. And the audience was 100% along for the ride. Destiny is a phenomenal talent.
