What I liked

The performer, Destiny, is not afraid to mix genres. She blends spoken word with monologues and some very funny videos. There’s even a fun moment where she passes out popcorn!🍿 It’s really vulnerable stuff, because some of the details she shares seem personal, and the show addresses themes that are often ignored in some communities.

What I didn't like

There were some technical issues with the music and sound effects being a bit too loud. There were a couple of instances where there were conversations staged but the audience only hears one side. Would have been nice if she played both parts. The scenes still worked, though.

My overall impression

The show weaves dark comedy with drama as the main character, Desiree, struggles some pretty intense topics.
