What I liked

Strong concept and straightforward visual component. Great writing that led the audience along through each harrowing tale but still found room for laughs.

What I didn't like

Some of the sound effects used in the performance would have benefited from location sound.

My overall impression

Probably my favorite funeral of all time! Suzette succeeded in taking her personal story of sorrows, singular to herself, and making it a narrative relatable to anybody familiar with the struggle to survive in this town. Throughout the show, there were laughs, cheers, and she even elicited a very loud “Eugh!” that sounded like an audio cue but was just my very own involuntary reaction to one of her punchlines. A grim affair, that at the end, had the whole audience grinning and hoping for a chance that there’s an afterlife so we can get some of her grisly reports from beyond the grave.
