I’m a sucker for anyone with an accent (I pay closer attention haha) and Dana was no exception. Her voice is gentle and she was very engaging. The use of projections, the props, and the singular set piece that easily put you in the scene. She also moved through the space with ease and the direction given was intentional and natural. Nothing felt forced or unbalanced.
What I didn't like
Honestly no notes.
My overall impression
This show is yes, a one woman show, but it is a one woman show full of so many characters. You can feel them all in the room as Dana tells the hilarious, sweet, and wild stories of her Dad and her, and her life growing up. She has written a beautiful and incredibly funny script that weaves the simplicities, and moreover the complexities of what a father-daughter relationship can be. Highly moving and engaging throughout, I highly recommend you catch this show!
