I loved the humor and pacing of this show so much. Dara is unafraid of being vulnerable and honest in her writing. Every joke is written with truth, which makes it all the more funny. I love Dara’s commitment as an actress to seemingly reliving the past —it really brings the audience in. For some reason, I wished the show was longer (maybe an hour and a half?) because I was completely obsessed with Dara’s world. Many others and I were moved to tears.
What I didn't like
The only thing left to be desired from this show is to see it get bigger and grow even more. I think it deserves to be performed on bigger stages, for more show dates beyond Hollywood Fringe. I know that one show was added, and the remaining shows were full houses. I think more people deserve to see this show.
My overall impression
A touching, heartfelt, and hilarious one-woman show about recovering from grief and living after loss.
