My overall impression
Laugh out loud funny yet you may need the little Kleenex packet thoughtfully handed to you at the door! Dara Kosberg is channeling the rollercoaster vibe of the legendary monologuist Spaulding Gray (“Swimming to Cambodia”, “Monster in the Box”, etc.) deftly mixing humor, irony, grief and optimism in her own unique voice. Filled with unsparing observations of herself and the family chaos many of us know too well, and accompanied by great music and a treasure trove of her beloved grandmother’s voicemails, urging Dara and each of us to get “ kissed a lot” and do our very best.
