This show did a wonderful job of balancing grief and hilarity. I especially loved the voicemails from her saucy grandma.

My overall impression
When they handed me the tissues at will call, I was like psssh, I’m fiiiine. I was NOT fine, but I left knowing I’d be okay.
As someone with a show also partially about the death of a parent, this show made me confront how I’ve gone about processing my own grief, how I honor my loved ones in my art, and how lucky I am to witness other people make something beautiful from their own pain. Please go watch this!
