Dara tells a very heartfelt journey from grief to self-acceptance and welcomes the audience along for the ride. Blending a perfect balance of comic observation with a poignant sense of loss. Dara uses the stage well to connect with the audience at each stage of her story...

When they handed me the tissues at will call, I was like psssh, I'm fiiiine. I was NOT fine, but I left knowing I'd be okay.
As someone with a show also partially about the death of a parent, this show made me confront how I've gone about processing my own grief, how I honor my loved ones in my art, and how lucky I am to witness other people make something beautiful from their own pain. Please go watch this! ...

Thank God they gave us tissues at will-call! I saw the 6/13 show and I definitely needed some time to process before I could write this review. Dara is so brave, honest, and specific in her storytelling. As the saying goes, the more specific art is, the more relatable it becomes. I feel like that’s true with this piece. ...

Dara's show is really really special. It's a very funny and very tender look at the complicated relationships we sometimes have with our parents / loved ones, and how those feelings can further complicate with unexpected passings. I loved this show when I saw it a few months ago and I loved it even more when I saw it again during Fringe. A MUST see. ...

Absolutely phenomenal! Homecoming took me on a rollercoaster of tears and laughter, weaving together vignettes across different times and characters into something both deeply moving and laugh-out-loud funny. It’s remarkably layered, balancing humor and vulnerability while illuminating deep truths about the human experience. This is the kind of show that lingers for days afterward—you find yourself revisiting powerful moments and discovering new connections and resonances each time you think about it....

An emotional roller coaster: funny
I had no idea what to expect and was so pleasantly surprised. It was an emotional roller coaster - funny, sad, heartfelt, thoughtful, depressing and ultimately uplifting. I too lost my dad when I was in college so I could relate to the feelings of love and loss. Thankfully I didn't experience of having unresolved issues but appreciated Dara's journey. That aside it was a engaging, thought-provoking and entertaining hour. Kudos to Dara for writing and performing such a moving piece of theater. ...
