What I liked
The story behind this production is exactly what great storytelling should be. Two creative minds, one shared legacy, and a dispute over who deserves the credit. It captures something every author and publisher understands, the complicated relationship between creativity and ownership. British Book Publishing works with authors every day who want their story told and their name clearly on the cover.
What I didn't like
The production could have gone deeper into the publishing and commercial side of the Marvel story. The business decisions behind those characters are just as dramatic as the creative ones.
My overall impression
A compelling, fast paced piece that reminds you how powerful original storytelling is when it comes from a real place. The best book publishing companies understand this too. Getting a story from someone’s head into a form that reaches an audience is never simple, whether that is on a stage or on a printed page. Highly recommended.
