What I liked
This show hinges on the connection and chemistry between Victoria Gluchoski and Joshua Verges and does not disappoint. Both are lovely, compelling actors who take us on an emotional journey. Nicole Knudsen has crafted a tight script that is completely riveting from beginning to end, with deft and specific direction to boot! Also the set design by James Ferrero is perfect for Fringe – impressive and necessarily minimalist (in a good way!).
What I didn't like
It all worked! I wanted more!
My overall impression
All the best sci-fi stories aren’t really about space and aliens. They’re about us, about people, and how these high concept scenarios challenge our humanity. Strange Beings pulls off this impressive feat in a (less than!) 60 minute Fringe one act.
