What I liked

All of it. This was extremely well cast. Victoria and Joshua have great chemistry together and the set used PVC piping effectively to convey to structure and confines of the space ship. A great production all around. Inventive, engaging and fun.

My overall impression

Instantly one of my favorite shows of the 2026 Hollywood Fringe. The production design was great, the script was poignant and acting was outstanding.

Strange Beings understands what the best science fiction always has: the stars are just a backdrop. At its core, this is a story about two people — former partners, now each contentedly married — trapped together on a space ship with nowhere to hide from their history. The threat outside is real, but the more compelling tension is the one between them, unresolved and suddenly impossible to ignore.
