A mesmerizing and tender snapshot of two people who simply care for one another, despite everything else they feel. It is carried equally by its masterful script and emotional performances, and made even more alive with effective set pieces and sound design. Every category was a complete success. ...

The performances, the production design, the writing and directing - everything about this play was excellent! For being a space show, Strange Beings is very grounded. Just some humans being human while encountering some not-humans. It's sweet and relatable and executed so well. I would absolutely recommend everyone go see this!...

Strange Beings reaches the stars and beyond with its stellar cast, writing, direction, and use of the black box space. Who knew so much humanity could be found in the confines of a small space ship. An absolutely joy of a show that even in its more dramatic moments never loses the light that bonds us all. Highly recommend! ...

Strange Beings is a delicate balancing act that the performers and writer/director Nicole Knudsen balance expertly: enough technobabble to immerse you in the sci-fi setting, but not so much it becomes confusing; enough intrigue and drama to keep you tense punctuated moments that slow down and let the audience breathe; full of heady concepts that good sci-fi needs while having enormous amounts of humanity and heart; and just the right mix of comedic and dramatic for the story everyone is trying to tell...

What a treat this show was from start to finish. This show feels incredibly polished, with incredible acting, writing, directing, set and tech design that all comes together to really puts the Broadwater into Space. All of this is joined by such a beautifully told, heartfelt story written by Nicole. The conversations that these characters feel so poignant, relatable, and necessary for so many of us to hear. This is an absolute MUST SEE of the Hollywood Fringe 2026. You'll be a Strange Being for not seeing this show!!!...

This is a phenomenal show filled with humor, suspense, danger, and raw honesty. And did I mention there are spaceships and aliens?
Strange Beings uses the isolation of the final frontier as a catalyst for critical conversation regarding the fear-filled failings of a once impassioned romance. With the flight path disrupted due to malfunctioning spacecraft equipment and potential alien interference, our intergalactic crew of two engages in a long overdue examination of their intimate relationship - something that feels like light-years behind them. The back-and-forth is filled with poignant truths, jocular repartee, and refreshing vulnerability. It makes a strong case for preserving the beautiful and complicated nature of humanity. It turns...

A sharply realized and effective examination of the dichotomy of human relationships and how other intelligent beings would find us to be a conundrum. I'd happily recommend this to anyone....
