I think it was extremely well-cast. All the characters were grounded, embodied, and felt like real people with rich inner lives. The tech did a great job of illustrating Nessa’s emotional journey; I especially loved when the furniture started moving- for a moment I thought it was unplanned, that’s how real it felt.
What I didn't like
The only thing I would’ve changed, which may have been a limitation of the venue, was that I wish the speed of the lights flashing aligned more directly with Nessa’s emotions heightening. This was done to a certain extent, but I think it could’ve been timed more precisely.
My overall impression
A really beautiful journey of reflecting on one’s life, choices, mistakes, legacy, and those we leave behind. Lacey Buchanan is unmatched in her ability to seamlessly flow through every human emotion under the sun, from true love to true terror. The rest of the cast offers great expansion to her story, supported by the direction and tech.
