For a show that was essentially one long conversation, the pacing and blocking were excellent. I never felt like I was looknig at the same thing for too long, even though I was looking at pretty much the same thing the whole time! The performances were very authentic and very sincere. The funny parts were very, very funny.
What I didn't like
I think it’s weird to ask this question, considering the play included themes and dialogue about that night’s performance being completely unique to that night and that it would be dead forever once that evening’s performance was over, so you can’t really improve upon a thing if it only existed once.
My overall impression
The show was a lovely surprise. I did not know what to expect going in, but I know the director as very creative and honest person, so I knew the audience would be in good hands. It was very funny, well paced and the only thing that outweighed it’s anxiety was it’s heart. I highly recommend.
