What I liked

Acting, writing, direction – all tops. I thought the mini intermission was even effectively used and woven into the production

What I didn't like

The show mentioned the rope and bucket were sourced day-of due to forgetting the usual prop and you could tell that the rope was spiritually the wrong color

My overall impression

What a show! It was polished, with cutting, loaded and original writing, and anchored by fantastic performances across the entire small cast, with two leads (Jake and Michael) really holding it down. I also learned how to pronounce Gal Gadot’s name and that’s a plus. I hate the state of the industry and I hate the seeping of AI into every aspect of creativity and life. That said, it’s tempting and easy to score lazy points and end up just as rehashed as some Gen AI junk, and I was moved that the show built a moving and soulful core. Good human stuff. Bravo!
